Single Vineyard Bull Paddock Sauvignon Blanc 2019$0.00
From one of the most premium wine growing sub-regions in Marlborough, the Bull Paddock Sauvignon Blanc displays concentrated tropical melon fruits, guava and passion-fruit aromas. The palate has a soft and juicy entrance full of melon and mango with underlying yellow bell peppers. The wine is weighty and textural with a crips mineral line to finish.
Bull Paddock Vineyard
Our Bull Paddock Vineyard is located in the Dillons Point sub-region of Marlborough’s Lower Wairau Valley and was once only good for raising bulls. The young, alluvial soils produce grapes with a powerful bouquet of rich, tropical aromas, expressive flavours and an intriguing mineral element. Pure, concentrated and limited by nature.
Viticulture & Winemaking
The 2019 growing season in Marlborough had a slow start with below average temperatures. Strong, even growth followed in the lead up to flowering and adverse weather events saw a mixed fruit set impacting yields. Extended hot and dry weather resulted in advanced ripening and an earlier than average start to harvest. The fruit was picked in the cool of the morning, before it was quickly crushed, gently pressed and was then batch fermented with selected specialised yeast strains. After fermentation the individual parcels rested before blending to produce the most vibrant single vineyard wine from the Bull Paddock vineyard
