Single Vineyard Bull Paddock Sauvignon Blanc 2018
$0.00From one of the most premium wine growing sub-regions in Marlborough, the Bull Paddock Sauvignon Blanc displays concentrated guava aromas, delicious blackcurrant and floral undertones. The palate is rich and full, with minerality and passionfruit flavours.
Bull Paddock Vineyard
Our Bull Paddock Vineyard is located in the Dillons Point sub-region of Marlborough’s Lower Wairau Valley and was once only good for raising bulls. The young, alluvial soils produce grapes with a powerful bouquet of rich, tropical aromas, expressive flavours and an intriguing mineral element. Pure, concentrated and limited by nature.

Viticulture & Winemaking
The 2018 growing season in Marlborough was not without some challenges. December we enjoyed perfect flowering conditions, January was one of the warmest on record, February delivered some rain and March was characterised by extended dry periods and high sunshine hours. Despite all this, the fruit ripened nicely on the vines, earlier than normal, and we had clean, ripe and intensely flavoured fruit come harvest in April. Once pressed at the winery, the juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to retain those clean, crisp fruit flavours.
Tasting Note
Bold and fresh aromas of freshly crushed blackcurrant leaf, citrus notes of grapefruit and lime with some underlying boxwood notes. The palate is rich with generous tropical fruits and a crunchy oyster shell minerality that underpins the wine. This is complemented by an attractive, ripe acidity and racy finish.
