Attention to detail. It is what sets a great wine apart.
Decanter tasted almost 200 New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wines in their recent panel tasting. Their verdict of the 2023 vintage is mixed, with the judges recommending that Sauvignon Blanc lovers do some research before selecting a bottle, and take the time to seek out smaller, quality-focused producers.
We're delighted to be the only New Zealand wine brand to have two wines included in the top 30 wines of the tasting.
92 points: Rapaura Springs Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2023
"Flint, matchstick, restrained tropical fruit and mineral, ripe citrus notes. The palate is ripe but crisp, with polished and clean citrus zest, beeswax and tropical fruit notes. Fresh acidity with good intensity and texture. Elegant and well-made."
90 points: Rapaura Springs Classic Sauvignon Blanc 2023
"A rounded citrus and fresh passionfruit nose. Pineapple, kiwi and tropical fruit meld with the fresh acidity. Well-integrated, a pleasant glass of wine."
