"From Apples to Grapes in Rapaura"

Wine Spectator has just reviewed our our 2023, Rapaura Springs Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, awarding it 92 points!

"Vibrant and generous, showing off passion fruit, lemon, peach and ginger notes up front, backed by toasted herbs, sea salt minerality and plenty of intensity on the mouthwatering finish. A hint of chive flower lingers. Drink now." - MW

Along with this brilliant review, their recent article "9 Sensational New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs Up to 93 Points" has a great write-up on the early days of Rapaura Springs,

"From Apples to Grapes in Rapaura:

In 2005, two New Zealand families, the Neylons and Wiffins, joined to create Rapaura Springs. Initially, John and Brenden Neylon partnered with Ian Wiffin to plant apple orchards around the Spring Creek, Dillon’s Point and Rapaura areas of Marlborough (they became the region's largest apple exporters). Later, they converted the orchards to vineyards and realized the full potential of their land. The winery's Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough Reserve 2023 (92, $20) is vibrant with lemon, stone fruit, ginger and sea salt notes. (The 2022 vintage of this bottling was among Wine Spectator's Top 10 Wine Values of 2023.)"
