"From Apples to Grapes in Rapaura:
In 2005, two New Zealand families, the Neylons and Wiffins, joined to create Rapaura Springs. Initially, John and Brenden Neylon partnered with Ian Wiffin to plant apple orchards around the Spring Creek, Dillon’s Point and Rapaura areas of Marlborough (they became the region's largest apple exporters). Later, they converted the orchards to vineyards and realized the full potential of their land. The winery's Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough Reserve 2023 (92, $20) is vibrant with lemon, stone fruit, ginger and sea salt notes.
